Muscular Dystrophy Queensland

UX Design for Public Website
Challenge
Muscular Dystrophy and other Neuromuscular conditions affect over 41,000 Australians. Muscular Dystrophy Queensland is an organisation dedicated to helping people with neuromuscular conditions live a life without limits. Key pain points with their existing website included a lack of clear pathways and information for newly diagnosed people and their carers, poor information architecture, a very limiting CMS and functionality not being accessible for a mobile experience.
Solution
After some careful research to understand the needs of stakeholders, clients and their families, we developed personas, an information architecture, content and functionality wishlist. This foundational discovery work helped inform the interface design and content development which was developed by MDQLD in tandom with the design phase. The result is a clearer, more engaging, highly accessible experience putting the organisation in great stead to grow moving forward.
Reusable components and styles enable the organisation to build custom pages out via the CMS with a wealth of flexibility whilst maintaining style consistency and design patterns.
