UX Design for Public Website
Challenge
USC sought to act upon feedback from students that there was room for improvement on their website. The organisation engaged my friends at Peak XD and Here We Grow to:
- Conduct 1on1 user interviews with a cohort of prospective and current students to discover pain points and opportunities.
- Develop and iterate a high fidelity prototype.
- Conduct 1on1 usability testing on the prototype
- Iterate the prototype based on insights uncovered in testing.
Solution
The outcome was a big step in the right direction to help USC understand and embrace UX process setting the org in good stead for a larger redesign piece planned in the coming year.
Usability testing validated the design choices we made and gave some great insights for minor iterations avoiding costly rework in a development phase.
